Perinatal mental health refers to any mental health issue experienced in relation to pregnancy. This can include but is not limited to planning/managing a pregnancy and/or parenthood after a pregnancy. 

1/5 individuals will experience perinatal mental illness at some point during their pregnancy or in the postpartum year which has seen a rise due to the global pandemic.
